Blog: Global Banking Credit Journal – Fitch Ratings

I’m pleased to share the latest addition to Fitch Ratings’ Credit Journal Series. This entry will focus on the banking sector, featuring insights on the intersection between financial institutions and real estate, technology, ESG and more.

We will explore how banks in various parts of the world are positioned to deal with high inflation and hikes in interest rates.

With a focus on fundamentals and long-term perspectives, our analysts are actively monitoring and providing views on global banks and financial institutions. We have rated over 2,500 Global Bank Issuers between 2018 and 2021, and are the number one CRA for top 100 global banks.

This issue features a Q&A with Fitch’s Global Head of Banks, James Longsdon. He discusses rising rates, asset quality, unique issues facing banks in emerging markets and more.

As always, if there is specific research you would like to see from us, please do not hesitate to suggest it.

Enjoy your reading!
