Blog: Entertainment Travel Summit to tackle sector’s hot topics – Business Travel News Europe

Travel managers and buyers from the entertainment, media and sports industries will be discussing the sector’s most important topics at the inaugural Entertainment Travel Summit in London on 29 September.

The one-day event, which will be held at the Kimpton Fitzroy London in the centre of the UK capital, has been created to tackle issues such as sustainability, managing travellers’ expectations and the impact of Brexit on entertainment travel.

The first European Entertainment Travel Summit builds on the success of the annual event that the BTN Group has been holding in Los Angeles since 2016.

David Meyer, executive director, conference content and strategy at the BTN Group, said: “Come to the inaugural Entertainment Travel Summit to engage with peers, suppliers and other experts about the issues you’re facing and be among the first to set the tone of discussions that are meant to be open ones.

“If the gathering of entertainment travel buyers and managers we’ve been holding in LA for the past several years is any indication, this is not a shy group. No editors will be quoting anyone, so come ready to talk with your peers about your experience, plans and concerns.”

The day’s agenda will cover topics such as addressing non-employee traveller challenges, overcoming Brexit’s complexities and challenges to production and business travel, managing traveller expectations and helping travellers to make greener choices.

Speakers will include a range of buyers from big-name entertainment brands such as Disney, BBC, Electronic Arts, Sony Pictures and UK Music, as well as TMCs, airlines and other travel suppliers.

There will also be an interactive discussion on entertainment travel’s most topical subjects and common challenges, including ongoing Covid safety measures and how to prepare for the next major disruption to travel.
