Blog: Brexit supporter pictured scrawling Jake Hepple’s name over anti-racism poster – Accrington Observer

A man has been pictured scrawling the name of Jake Hepple over an anti-racism poster.

Burnley FC fan Hepple was responsible for organising the White Lives Matter banner that flew over the Etihad Stadium earlier this week as players took a knee to show their support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The actions resulted in 24-year-old Hepple, from Colne, getting sacked by his Burnley-based employer Paradigm Precision.

Pictures have now emerged of a man with a pro-Brexit message on his T-shirt spraying the name Jake Hepple over an anti-racism poster in London.

The man, accompanied by a friend who appeared to be filming him, also wrote White Lives Matter over an image of a clenched fist.

Police have confirmed they are investigating the incident near Old Street, Central London, which happened at around 10.30am yesterday (June 25).

A brave woman who confronted the vandal said she was left shaking by the shocking ordeal and couldn’t believe what had happened.

The 25-year-old claims his friend accused her of not caring about white lives – completely missing the point of the Black Lives Matter movement, she said.

The stunned office worker told the Mirror: “I saw these guys spray painting something, when I got a bit closer I realised what they were writing.

“I asked them what they were doing. The guy spray painting was being filmed by a tall guy who turned around and started pointing the camera at me.

“He starting asking all me all these questions, asking me why I think white lives don’t matter.

“I was shaking, I said of course white lives matter, you’re missing the point.

“I got my phone out and took a picture so I could give the police an accurate description.”

The woman, who contacted the Metropolitan Police, said the man appeared to be filming her as he questioned her.

She said: “He kept on asking me if I cared about white lives, I said of course I do.

“The tall guy with the camera was just smiling at me, I was really uncomfortable, I couldn’t believe what was happening.”

She said that no one nearby attempted to attempted to intervene, and the men ran away.

Pictures of the aftermath show the words “f*** Marxism” was also written over the posters.

The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for a comment.

Hepple’s employment was terminated on Wednesday with immediate effect by Paradigm after an investigation ‘concluded that there has been a break of the company’s various policies and procedure’.

They added that they do not condone racism in any form, and do not wish to be associated with the recent actions.

Hepple said he organised the stunt with around 60 other Burnley supporters, with them all pitching in to pay for £600 banner and plane hire.

Hepple’s girlfriend, Megan Rambadt has also been sacked from her Solace Foot Health and Reflexology following a number of controversial posts on social media.
